Please join us for an all day opening event on Saturday, February 27, 2021 to view all new work from these incredible artists.

Yellena James is an artist based in Portland, OR. With an instantly recognizable style, she combines complex abstract forms into dazzling images that take on lives of their own. Each intimate world she creates seems to posses its own ethos and its own special ability to radiate emotion Her colorful arrangements of organic shapes and tangled lines are at once floral and alien, organic and sci-fi.

Besides participating in shows around the US and overseas, she has done illustration work for Adobe, Apple, Relativity Media, La Mer, Swatch, Moleskine and many others.

Dan Lam’s work straddles the line between numerous dichotomies. By navigating the realm between attraction and repulsion, organic and inanimate, seriousness and playfulness, soft and hard, Lam conjures up her idiosyncratic vision. As a result, the work strikes a deft balance between seemingly disparate concepts, subsequently inspiring a range of emotions and ideas from the viewer.

Known for her bold and unique sculptures, she rose to popularity and prominence through social media, particularly Instagram. Her body of work ranges from gallery exhibitions to large scale installations to brand collaborations. She exhibits in the US and internationally.

Lam was born in the Philippines while her family was immigrating from Vietnam to the United States. She was raised in Texas where she received her Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of North Texas in 2010. She received her Masters in Fine Arts in 2014 from Arizona State University.

Based in Oakland, California, fiber artist Meghan Shimek creates large scale woven wall hangings and sculptures. Her engaging work is ethereal, whimsical and delicate, but rooted in the warm, earthy materials she uses. Exploring organic movement, Shimek's weaving style allows the fibers to fall into an indeterminate pattern that reveals the beauty and vulnerability of her materials.

Shimek was raised in Michigan and studied history and nutrition before discovering her true passion in weaving. Since dedicating herself fully to fiber work, she has studied tapestry and Navajo weaving, rigid heddle and floor loom weaving. Shimek developed her own signature weaving style over several years as she explored how art can be used to express grief and heal after personal loss. Today, Shimek exhibits her work, creates commissions, and teaches weaving workshops across the world.
